Julie Chen Moonves will host the reality series that is a huge hit in summer, Big Brother. The show returns to CBS on August 5 for the 2nd season. Chen Moonves has been a part of The Talk since 2010, where she was moderator and host. She was a journalist before becoming host, however her true desire was to write. In fact, it earned her an Emmy. Then she won a second Emmy for her role as host of an exceptional entertainment talk show. She was co-hosting CBS News weekday morning show The Early Show between 2002 until 2010. Before that she was the CBS Morning News anchor and the host of The Early Show. Following the 9/11 attacks the news anchor was sent to Cairo and found the hijacker's lead father for an intense and fascinating interview. Chen Moonves interviewed celebrities such as Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. In addition, she met with ex- New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani as well as Queen Rania. Chen Moonves also reported for the Emmy-winning CBS Sunday Morning news show which featured celebrities such as Jamie Lee Curtis and Paula Abdul.Prior to The Early Show, Chen Moonves was an anchor and reporter at WCBS-TV, a CBS-owned station in New York City (1997-1999).Before joining CBS News, Chen Moonves worked as a reporter at WDTN-TV Dayton (1995-1997). Previous jobs included working as a reporter with ABC NewsOne, the network's affiliated news service (1992-1995) and as a desk-assistant in ABC News' Los Angeles Bureau (1990-1991) and all the while finishing her last year of school from the University of Southern California. It was her first time working in broadcasting, as a Desk Assistant on ABC News' late-night show Nightline With Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is still one of the journalists she admires. Chen Moonves and Ted Koppel worked together for Anatomy of a Riot - an evening show on television which won the Columbia du-Pont award - which looked at what happened during the Los Angeles riots of 1992.
