Emily Irene VanCamp initially aspired to become a professional actress, but became interested following a visit to Katie in the Ladies Room film set. She began to take acting classes, and also landed roles as a guest on a TV show in her native Canada. She has appeared in many programs, including Are You Afraid Of The Dark? Radio Active and Dice. VanCamp had a career breakthrough when he got a role on the WB horror/mystery television show Glory Days as Sam Dolan. It was cancelled after nine episodes, despite glowing review and ratings that were low. The May 12 1986-born actress quickly secured a second role on Everwood as a member of the main cast Amy Abbott. The role earned her nominations for the Young Artist Award and four Teen Choice Awards.
